Job Description:
The position aims to support the HSSE Head and team in planning, coordinating, and implementing effective HSE policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure the overall objectives of the Matrix Group are met.
The role also entails providing quality HSE expert advice, support, and services for safe work systems, ensuring compliance with Matrix Energy policies, standards, and procedures, as well as local and international HSE regulations. Supporting the Aida Depot Manager and Maintenance Manager on HSE issues, especially resulting from activities on-site, executing the Matrix Terminal Waste Management Plan, being accountable for the quality and critical review of Depot HSE data reported to the HSSE Head, supporting the HSE assurance process, ensuring toolbox meetings are implemented as part of the company’s training and HSE program, and supporting the testing and maintaining of Emergency response procedure and plans.
Requirements: The minimum requirements for the position include holding an OND, having at least a year of experience as a safety officer, and possessing an HSSE Background. Having broad experience with Depot operations will be an added advantage.
