Managing Lead – Executive Mining Recruitment

Our client is seeking a Mining Sales Leader, to report to the General Manager Sales and Country Director Tanzania, who will take a leadership role to systematically develop, support and implement growth strategies to achieve or exceed sales for Strategic Accounts, End User business, EPCs and Supply Partners for East Africa. Opportunities can range from targeted competitive displacement, driving strategic account plan, driving solutions for a focused mining industry sector, effective engagement with end users, driving for a profitable business and engaging with the Local Business Partners/Representatives/ Resellers for successful execution of the job function.

Job Description:


  • Develop and implement plans to drive and grow profitable business such as MRO, Parts, Displacement, Service Business and maximize revenue and returns from the existing solid installed base.
  • Develop and implement Mining EPCs plans to drive and get visibility for all the mining projects in the region, develop strong relationship with Key EPCs player and develop and implement the projects pursuing process which help to put more install base.
  • Develop and implement the required sales channel approach for mining supply partners and resellers.
  • Establish and develop high level strong relationships with key leaders and at all functional levels with all key end users.
  • Meet or exceed territory financial objectives (budget, monthly booking forecast, etc.) as required in support of the Isolation Valves Territory business plan.
  • Develop and implement sales and site plan strategies for key mining install base in East Africa.
  • Prepare and present marketing forecasts, pricing surveys, business growth intelligence and marketing plans.
  • Work closely with all company Business Units and maximize pull-through content.
  • Drive for the end user approval for the manufacturing location and the brands with key end users and to get qualifying for the project specific and Approved Vendor Lists.
  • Develop long-term relationships with senior management within customer accounts to ensure awareness of the capabilities of the company.
  • Proactively engage early with end users project team to support and gain preference for the Isolation valves products and solutions.
  • Ensure ethics and trade compliance procedures are strictly followed with all business transactions.
  • Share timely updates with developments in products, industry and market trends.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented throughout the entire sales channel, i.e. Safety, Quality, and Compliance

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

  • Graduate Engineer with Degree level in discipline like Mechanical, Instrumentation, Petroleum, Chemical or equivalent.
  • Mining Industry experience
  • A minimum of 8 – 10 years in sales / sales channel management / Strategic Accounts experience preferably in the process mining Industry.
  • Record of achieving sales targets and growing territory above market growth.
  • Ability to consistently deliver sales growth and gaining customers reputation.
  • Fluency in English and French (reading, writing, and speaking) ideal
